Denis Meshack Obare brings over seven years of specialized experience to his role as Program Director for Disability Inclusion at KOEEDO. Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Moi University, Denis is a renowned expert in disability mainstreaming, inclusive education, and project management. He excels at stakeholder engagement, rigorous Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), and forging vital, lasting partnerships designed to uplift and empower children with disabilities.
Throughout his impactful career, Denis has demonstrated exceptional leadership in resource mobilization and program execution. Most recently, as a Programs Officer at the Naromoru Disabled Children’s Home, he spearheaded comprehensive rehabilitation programs, directed critical fundraising efforts, and led staff training initiatives. His forward-thinking approach also earned him the opportunity to represent the organization at a pivotal symposium on 3D prosthetics in Uganda. Prior to this, at the AIC Child Care Centre, Denis successfully secured beneficiary scholarships and authored an ambitious 2025–2027 funding proposal, all while ensuring strict organizational compliance.
Denis’s advocacy roots run deep. During his tenure as a Project Officer for the Siaya Disabled Persons Organization, he championed crucial policy advocacy that resulted in direct contributions to the Disability Bill, alongside driving a 35% increase in beneficiary outreach. His foundational six years at the Leonard Cheshire Foundation saw him drastically boost inclusive education retention rates by an impressive 60%, establish robust referral pathways, and lead critical program adaptations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Beyond his primary focus on disability inclusion, his diverse community impact is further highlighted by a successful agricultural project where he registered 383 farmers, consistently elevating community motivation and satisfaction metrics.
